Diversity and its affects on Policing

Think of a group by its modern day identity, black, white, Asian, Jewish, Muslim, Chinese, European, lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, the list could be endless.

Now ask yourself this question, Do you believe that the Police treat any of these groups differently ?.

If , like the majority of people, you answered anything other than No, then after 20+ years of diversity & equality training the Police have failed.

The next question is how and why ?.

The simple answer is that all of these groups have one thing in common, they are all the same, they are people and the Police should be treating them as such not by their membership of an identity group.

When they get that right things will change for the better.
